JK2006 It's a possibility. These days it is so easy to track URL's and IP's - even those stupid Proxies which dim trolls think protects them (I'm sure many currently in prison have come to regret that assumption).
Jo He probably has to take it seriously, since the harassment has turned real, and the people making the threats could well be armed. But it looks as if he's got a resolute attitude.

JK2006 Huge publicity but really, Chris - ignore them; these stupid loonies do not deserve one second of your attention or one moment of your time. Do not allow them to distress you. There always have been loonies (we used to call them the "green ink brigade") and always will be. Mentally fractured and of limited intelligence; usually illiterate; bitter, sour and brain dead. Often, I suspect, police officers.
