hedda I just love Rome.

love Italians.

they say Oz only became interesting when 100,000s of Italians emigrated there in the 1950s.
Silent Minority Something magical about Italy,I do hope they have not fallen for the evils of false allegations, they have sadly voted in a government that is quite far to the right.

Meanwhile in a universe far far away...well south east Asia...a coffee shop visit after work...the owner being a fan of oldies..but sadly had not heard of The Venerable King..while trying to explain how much you had influenced pop music he put on a 10cc record

....the rest as they say is history...
JK2006 Back for a brief new series - I love this show, not just because it illustrates Italy at its most beautiful (I spent most of May there) but because the police are exactly what police OUGHT to be and the humans are just what humans ought to be. Example - last night they dealt with the huge problem of immigration and boat people in precisely the way I believe most Europeans do; incredible sympathy and sadness for them. This is terribly important (and is why I oppose Brexit). Those who shout loudest, the small minority, support Brexit and get the headlines but it's not those few who matter; it's us quiet ones who care for individuals. Wonderful Montalbano (and my fave Catarella) do their jobs (well) but show that they truly care about decency and kindness. I Love Montalbano.
