Presumably this also explains why men are more likely than women to be involved in other types of crime too, such as car theft, burglary, muggings and bombings. (Disclaimer: I know that most men don't do these things, but of the people who do commit these crimes, most of them are men.)
Or maybe there are fundamental differences between men and women? I have to say that I find his reasoning very simplistic, especially for someone with a masters degree in criminology.
