I once accompanied 2 female record company PRs up to Luciano Pavrotti's hotel room where they were going to present him with a gold record.
Pavrotti opened the door in a bath robe (but still with a huge scarf around his throat) and invited us in ..as the two ladies gave a 3o second speech Luciano insisted on hugging them saying "lovely girlies". (he didn't hug me..most upsetting)
It was all very Italian and innocent and later on the lift going down to reception the ladies were quite sort of high and smiling, chatting away at a unique experience.
I can imagine after the #MeCompoToo movement started and perhaps they had been laid off after the years of excess, they may re-appraise their feelings and claim they "felt uncomfortable" and Pavrotti had "groped them"...but fortunately for him he kicked the bucket.
There's bound to be a raft of Opera claims any day now

The allegations are very similiar to those made against the conductor Charles Dutoit in Dec 2017. It comes as no surprise that the same AP journalist is involved.
Oh for crying out loud! Men (sometimes women)who behave like this are an absolute pain in the arse and they should shove their "sexual overtures" right up it.
But, being made to "feel uncomfortable" is a whole word away from an ACTUAL sexual assault or rape, and I find it offensive that it is all lumped in together.
