Barney This is a claim that a third party forced the accuser to have sex with A.

Hardly an accusation of an offence by A; certainly if A was unaware.

As both, in law, were consenting adults.

Should A have questioned a naked bedfellow?

Jo Apparently yes.

"Mrs Giuffre has claimed in court papers in Florida that she was forced to have sex with the duke when she was aged 17, under the state’s age of consent."

Barney Andrew hasn't been accused of any offence.

Has he?

Jo That's crazy. A feeding frenzy. And it's Piers Morgan. Can't stand him. Whenever I've watched clips of Good Morning Britain, it's basically just him talking over the guests. He always seems to be flanked by Susannah Reid and another woman, and while Susannah occasionally gets a word in edgewise, the other woman always seems completely silent. It doesn't surprise me that he's trying to fan the flames of hatred for Prince Andrew. He seems to be the perfect embodiment of a rabble-rousing gutter journalist.

At lunchtime today I made the mistake of visiting a general discussion forum I sometimes patronise and contribute to a thread on Prince Andrew. I questioned the veracity of Virginia Roberts' claims and raised the prospect of other claims -- er well maybe even all of them -- possibly not being true either. Oh dear, not a wise move. Scolding comments "shame on you!", etc. and negative reputation points. Not sure if I should dare to visit again!

It's a relief to be able to be a complete wally here and not be bashed for it!
honey!oh sugar sugar. We are one step away from putting all the family and friends of offenders in the stocks!

Have we completely lost the concept of liking and being supportive of a criminal without approving of the crime?

Or in Christian terms, hating the sin but loving the sinner?
