md This reminds of Mark Twain’s: “When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.”
Honey When I was at school it was the fashion for us to be bombarded with every new environmental theory as if it were fact, and one of these was that the sun was indeed stone dead and we were all doomed.

They called this "geography" . I would rather have just been shown some maps actually.
JK2006 For decades I've thought it is possible the sun is dying and has been for billions of years. As it slowly cools, planets in our solar system freeze up. Places like Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn may well have had life frozen and killed as the sun chilled. Recently Mars became "uninhabited". Earth is on the way out. In billions more years Venus and Mercury will cool down. Life will emerge; then freeze and die. Eventually the Sun will go out. And another galaxy will bear life (probably already has). Bt I know nothing. I just suspect.
