hedda	Of course I cannot prove it's correct but I trust my Italian journalist pal who has written books on the Calabrian Mafia- the fearsome N'drangheta. But indeed- the N'drangheta have infiltrated the Victorian Police and Aussie society. The Underbelly series really just touched on it. The latest Underbelly will certainly touch on it..about a female Barrister who worked for both the police and the gangsters and is now hiding out abroad not knowing which one she should fear more. Barney	The Vitorian police are 'riddled with corruption' - and linked to the Mafia. Who have 'infiltrated every part of the Australian establishment' - they also run organised crime, in eastern Australia. Also - the Vatican Bank - is corrupt, unlike Cardinal Pell, who controlled it. Where should we go from here then! And what should the Australian government - and Rome - do? So that this most extraordinary and dangerous scenario can be normalised.
