hedda Hadn't seen that video.

I've become quite fond of Andrew Bolt even though I disagree with 80% of what he says.

I hope it's not age and I become a Conservative as I deteriorate .

Bolt is also extremely close to rupert Murdoch and his one of Rupe's most favoured pundits.

Jk..how long did you actually serve?
JK2006 Thanks for that; well said Andrew Bolt. But imagine someone equally innocent (myself) having to serve a 7 year sentence for crimes that never took place.

The truly disgraceful behaviour of False Allegations enablers now reveals no less than ten further civil actions (which will almost certainly disappear as corrupt lawyers find they might not make any money for No Win No Fee cases). Pell quite rightly forgives his false accusers as Alex Salmond did his, some weeks ago. GET the ENABLERS, I say. Chase the bent lawyers and cops attempting to pervert the course of justice. And media. Jail them. Fine them. Chop off their testicles (those who have any).

Some well know journos are tweeting and almost salivating over these claims that sadly, the ABC published last week in a series of programs so tainted it saddens me.

However I very much doubt they will even make it into court. All of them concern accusations- all of which were thrown out in the Magistrates Court as "improbable". "impossible" and "ridiculous". And that was by a lady Magistrate who Pell's barrister claimed was prejudiced against Pell and should excuse herself.

Meanwhile my treasured public broadcaster ABC seems bent on destruction as (like the BBC) presenters excel in their arrogance and surety that they know better than the general populace.

Several today were outraged that George Pell, a 78 year old private citizen, traveled from Melbourne to Sydney by car (bloody awful journey of at least 10 hours when it's only an hour by plane).

"How come George Pell can flout social distancing rules" they chorused like parrots " He should be arrested and fined"

Alas for them : Pell was moving from Melbourne to Sydney (he was jailed in Victoria) to take up residence in Sydney and sensibly sought police approval first (not that he needed it).

Under the new "social distancing" rules moving home is considered "essential travel".

And did those ABC pundits say a word about the media pack that literally followed Pell up the Hume Highway? Not a frigging word as each journalist breached 'social distancing" rules as non-essential travel.

such is the current lunacy but sadly, by those who should know better.

## an aside: one Sydney Morning Herald pundit seemed outraged that George Pell was picked up in a gleaming Mercedes to be driven to the Monastery where he spent the night partying with the Nuns !!( what fun).
"Sums it all up" he fumed,

I saw the vision- it was the same model as mine- around 9 years old and a frigging mechanical disaster.
Barney False allegations/accusers certainly existed in Australia - but Pell had to contend with more than that.

As the embodiment of hatred, against the Catholic church in Australia - for years of child abuse by clergy.

£250 million was paid out by the church - to some of c5,000 claimants (of abuse - to 2015); these were examined by a Royal Commission.

Before Francis arrived, the church categorically denied any wrongdoing doing by its clergy - and constantly supported them.

Pell was consequently made a fall guy - as Australia's senior Catholic - and took the brunt of the antagonism.

Which should have been rightly directed at a church which refused to acknowledge, account or atone for its actions - or lack of them.

Replicated on every continent - as Francis and Rome now accept - many decades after much of the abuse was carried out.
