Anthony	A rather fine example of setting yourself up for a fall by Owen there. I notice also that McClaren states he will stand or fall by his decision to pick Beckham. May I have your signature below that article please, Steve? Actually since McClaren did a great job as Derby's assistant manager ten years ago, I feel somewhat guilty criticising him. Obviously it is a far cry from being number 2 at England's 14th biggest city to managing an international side. Not obvious to the FA who chose him though.
In The Know	From BBC News - Michael Owen insists he is ready to score the goals that will lead England to victory against Brazil and Estonia. The Newcastle striker is back in the England fold for Friday's game against Brazil after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury suffered last summer. "Knowing people expect me to score makes me feel a couple of inches taller. I love high stakes games, the more pressure the better," he said.
