Just so you know, 700,000 people die each year in the USA from heart problems. 600,000 die there from cancer. Hundreds of thousands die from suicide, flu, pneumonia, car accidents, home accidents. Covid19 is just another cause but is also a great media story.
I don't want to be cynical. After all, sobbing relatives fill a lot of transmission time, pages, photo ops.
Should I go with the media flow? After all it is far easier swimming in the sea of life if we go with the tide.
Yes. The story is: another illness is causing deaths in proportion and significantly less than other conditions in the US. This situation is replicated to greater and lesser rates in other countries.
We can decide to make it a big deal or not. The trouble with stopping thinking JK is that it makes it easier for the Gov to impose crazy over reactions in the future, causing far more death and misery than the illness.

Like you King, we have both lived in USA. We know a lot of Americans don't eat the right stuff. Al Jazeera stated that over 2 million people have recovered from Covid.
A whistleblower in a US hospital said they treating everyone with covid even if they don't have any of the symptoms.
