wyot It has always been known it was airborne through coughs and sneezes, but that the particles then dropped down onto surfaces.

WHO admitted a day or two ago on the back if the letter that they hadn't understood that particles also remain airborne and travel.

This is a very significant difference, and has implications for containment and the kit needed by medics.

Not that it really matters as the whole thing seems to be dying off now anyway thank God...

Airborne. Well that is the known fact from the very beginning and the concern for the spread. Also, a possible reason why the South East asian countries are least affected becuse they have a cultural fear of disease spreading so tend to wear masks at the slightest threat. Masks means lessening the amount of airborne particules out of a person and into a person. So the scientists or at least the media report seem to be stating the obvious (maybe the scientists open letter was made up!).

As these specialists from over 30 countries could well prove to be correct - couldn't they? To ignore their findings would be criminal.

I realise their findings will need to be looked at and responded to Barney; I was employing irony...

It is how we may respond (media, society, Gov) that troubles me, and have lessons been learned...?
