Actually wonder if Virginia Roberts Giuffre's claim of Maxwell screaming "why is this happening?" "how could this happen?" and "crying her eyes out" at the hearing is another invention. The only source of this story seems to be her, also quoted in The Sun, Daily Mail and NY Post, but other reports tell a different story.
Maxwell spoke in a soft voice to answer about a dozen technical and procedural questions from the judge.
Smashing your door down seems completely unwarranted and over the top.
With Ghislaine Maxwell, though, I wonder if there was some logic to it. With so many people in the USA having guns, perhaps they did this to give her less time to arm herself or kill herself like Jeffrey Epstein.
I was surprised at the FBI official saying she had "slithered away to a gorgeous property in New Hampshire, continuing to live a life of privilege". I'd have thought they'd have been dispassionate.
I watched the two Australian 60 Minutes programmes on YouTube yesterday about Epstein/Maxwell. Totally biased tabloid TV and largely focussing on Virginia Roberts Giuffre. In the shorter one, she recounts smiling (at around 16:20) that she had heard audio of Ghislaine Maxwell's court hearing, where reporters were apparently able to listen in, and Maxwell had been shouting "why is this happening?" "how could this happen?" and "crying her eyes out".

It's the extraordinary boasting in public, out loud, that disturbs me. These people really feel the majority approves of their rudeness. They consider they are above the law.

Some police join up in order to get away with murder. I'm sure the "knee on neck" man in Minneapolis took great pleasure in extinguishing a man's breath. I know the delight by the (mainly female) Surrey cops was the joy of setting up a minor celebrity and getting the kudos, promotion and increased budget when he or she was convicted (sadly for them it didn't happen). Many lesbian cops adore strip searches and boast about them. My replacement doors and CCTV units cost me £15,000 - never given back despite solid proof the bent cops broke the law.
