Mine is a proper effective one too.
Maybe if we all had these instead of bits of old sock loosely draped across our necks we would be in a better position?
I don't see the logic in "lets all wear shit masks that might help slightly".  |

So let me explain to you why I bought a mask back in January. Despite UK governments calling them "worse than useless" I reckoned that this trivial virus (for 99% who catch it) could be very nasty if you were vulnerable (over 75 and diabetic). When I Tweeted about masks (if so useless why did doctors & nurses wear them?) Government, always watching King, changed tack and said "Don't buy one because the NHS needs all of them". i.e. accept death in order to save the NHS.
So I got an expensive, tight fitting one. Not around the ears (useless gaps I thought) but tight around the neck. Not loose around the nose (viruses get through spaces) but tight (and don't steam up glasses). Not simple cloth but "triple filter" air entry points which I spray with alcohol based after shave (also smells nice and alcohol kills viruses).
Just in case, I reckoned. Might stop me getting it. Might stop me passing it on if I got it.
People laughed. Believed the media hyped "plague" story. Despite figures illustrating it was trivial for most. Mocked me for putting the Covid19 scare down to media exaggeration. Ignored the fact that the Death Four countries had far more deaths per cases than the rest of the world. Waffled about different ways of collating figures, wisdom of speedy lockdowns, advocated closing borders.
Well; wait until the next (serious) plague, I think. Sort of Ebola but far more infectious. I refuse to be the boy who cried wolf. I refuse to see the Emperor's New Suit.
Anyway; this is my mask. Only worn when necessary.
