JK2006 A good friend of mine, he invited me to his BBC farewell dinner in 1995 which amazed Birt, Hussey and the other BBC bigwigs as I was the leader of the "slagging off the BBC in the media" campaign.

He died after a bout with cancer aged only 68.

A lovely guy and a great radio man.
