Jo It doesn't surprise me. I had heard stories before of royal staff not being treated particularly well, e.g. paid quite modestly and turfed out of grace-and-favour homes once their services are no longer required, as in the story below.

Wyot Has famously held her counsel and dignity over the years, in contrast to some of the more ill-bred members of her family.

This has allowed us to project what image we like about who she really is.

But this insight - if correct - reveals a selfish small-minded character, who would rather 20 of her staff miss Christmas with their families, than she has to change the location of hers.

Personally I have found this dissapointing; especially during times when a national leader could be showing wisdom at a time of collective sacrifice.
