I'm not a fan of Captain Jack, but that's an aside. Does John Barrowman have shares in the BBC? He pops up on a lot of shows, judging talent, cooking, playing games, being interviewed, etc. Overexposure isn't always good for a long term career.
Also, the Tardis doesn't travel through physical space. It dematerialises into another dimension, which means nobody can hitchike by clinging to the outside.
Just when the series seemed to be picking up .....

The Master always stole lives, bodies etc, so therefore if he is capable of doing that surely he is capable of stealing further regenerations etc?
Also the TARDIS can travel in physical space as noted particularly in the 1970s with the TARDIS in the backdrop of stars and planets!! |

Ooh .. Michael Sheen. I haven't actually seen him, so can't judge.
Judy Dench is a fine actress, but the Doctor is a male. Time Lords cannot change sex - although RTD's disregard for the show's history suggests that wouldn't bother him in the least. |

Well I'm with you on Tennant Chrissy, I find him unbearable.
I loved Chris Ecclestone in the role and both Al and Cat know I'm a huge fan of the Russell T Davies series.
But then I wasn't a Who-ie; I never liked the original ones, so I don't notice the plot discrepancies from earlier details.
Most of these new ones are splendid. Billie was fantastic (to my surprise), the new girl is not bad.
As for Mr Sheen (furniture polish) he was brilliant as Williams, OK as Blair... the jury is still out on him as an actor for me. He might be as annoying as Tennant if he took on the Who mantle.
I think I'd vote for Judi Dench in the part. |

Martin Sheen? No, The Doctor is an honourary Englishman. I wouldn't want to see any American in the role. Eccleston would have made a great Master, but was hopeless as The Doctor. He just didn't understand the role, and he was right to quit. To people new to the show he was obviously their first Doctor and so held as the example to follow. To those of us who've viewed Dr Who since it's creation, he was just an unfortunate blip. Tennant has some awful scripts to work with, but he's got the balance about right - seriously eccentric but very capable and deeply mysterious.
Simm might be a good Master, but it's true that the Master cannot regenerate, so that scene was a bit of nonsense. It's also not so easy to steal the Tardis because of it's recognition codes, but there's probably some way around that.
With the exception of a few episodes, the storylines have lots of holes and lack any real continuity. It needs much more professional polish. |
