Green Man I never did meet him however my mates have; I was told numerous times and he was right joker and excellent story teller. Personally football bores and I couldn't tell the leaderboard or the leading goal scorer is.

RIP.
middlemas Yes, and although he didn't play in the final, Jimmy Greaves isn't too well either.

After a severe stroke a few years ago. Last seen at the opening of Spurs' new stadium.

England's biggest scorer (I believe) - on a goals per game basis.

Another star of the famous 1966 England World cup team dies, leaving only 4 remaining (Geoff Hurst, George Cohen, Bobby Charlton, and Roger Hunt). We've seen Jack Charlton, Martin Peters, Gordon Banks, Ray Wilson, and now Nobby Stiles all die in the last 18 months or so.

Who can forget Nobby's dancing at the end of the final, with his toothless grin. Well I wasn't born, but we've all seen the footage.

Like Jack Charlton and Martin Peters, he suffered from dementia, leading to assumptions that heading those old leather balls led to long term damage to the brain.
