Because in case you hadn't noticed: lockdown isn't working.
The obvious thing here would be to invite you to elaborate on your "solution" to C19 . However, this would be futile, because I only need to turn on the BBC to learn what you would present as a solution, when it is no such thing at all.
If someone is sceptical of the effectiveness of lockdown they are able to be so even in the absence of an alternative to ameliorating C19 beyond common sense precautions such as distancing and handwashing.
It is not an "either or situation", unless viewed through the handicap of unintelligent eyes.
If you give a patient medicine that has disastrous side effects and doesn't cure the condition, it is sensible to stop giving the medicine; regardless of whether an alternative is available or not. |

You assume lockdowns prevent C19 deaths in any significant fashion, and so try to close the debate before it can start. You continue to ignore all the evidence of lockdown deaths and won't - or can't - apply yourself to comparative analysis.
This is not uncommon at the moment, but the most reprehensible thing about your post is the suggestion we should not "apportion blame" to a Government that has presided over some of the worst death rates in the world, used lockdowns freely and ditheringly, blown 22 billion of our money on one of the least effective tracking systems in the world, and has created one of the worst economic outlooks for us as a result in the world.
If that is not worthy of "blame" what the fuck is...?
My reprehensible post didn't make an assumption, say that blame shouldn't be attributed (our government has been weak) or try to close or continue to do anything. Just that blaming is easy, and also unproductive and useless. Like your inability to suggest what might help stop the virus spreading and killing, exponentially. |
