zooloo Haven't seen tonight's... and don't care much if I do.

The last two were complete rubbish.

Though in the main I think they've done an excellent job and should be congratulated.

As for Billie Piper, she proved to be a tough act to follow. 10/10 for her.
Mart We rather liked "Coast" on BBC2. Amazing dolphin and sunfish footage.
JK2006 Interesting - within 5 minutes of starting this thread it had 40 views... clearly this is the place for Dr Who fans!
The Cat The Human Factor and Blink were the best two episodes - neither of them written by Russel T Davies.

The best thing about this final story was that Martha left.

The worst bit was everything else. I agree that it tried too hard and was too pretentious even for a SciFi/Fantasy. Far too many departures from the original concept, and awful continuity.
JK2006 Very good in bits but other bits too pretentious and too clever by half.
Martha was good but nowhere near as good as Billie Piper.
Tennant is a matter of personal taste - I just don't like him as an actor, where Eccleston is great.
Not convinced by John Simm as The Master either.
This series was a bit unsatisfactory but the crying statues episode was a classic.
