Hopefully you won't but you may yet discover that Surrey Police are nothing to giggle about; just ask Millie Dowler or Breck Bednar or the Deepcut kids... Or my friends Deniz, Rob and Laurence.

When I started posting on this site I had no interest in that side of things. I had no idea or real interest in your innocence or guilt (in a legal sense or I suppose a "moral" sense) and still don't. I don't know you and wasn't there. Even if you were fully guilty I would see no reason not to enjoy the site or delete your TV and music history.

There is a glaring hypocrisy around sexuality and shifting ages of consent when viewing your case. I can remember when I was about 14 seeing on the news that Bill Wyman was marrying a girl he had started dating when she was 14, and no one batted an eyelid.

Having read and watched stuff since starting posting on here I have become troubled by the level and type of evidence you were first convicted against, and was shocked at how the Police dealt with the second trial.

What I do believe is that all complainants have the right to come forward and be
treated with respect. The reputation of the accused should be equally carefully protected at this stage and they too should be treated with respect. The claim must then be investigated with no pre conceptions or bias. This is where I have learned there is a significant problem (I had naively assumed this is what happens...).

I really hope Police learn some lessons from yours and other recent high profile investigations/trials that have similarly raised troubling questions about the independence of investigators and prosecutors. I respect the Police in many ways.

Wyot I am passing to the giggly/slightly but enjoyably hysterical phase here in Surrey...
JK2006 And as I said months ago; what about the minks???
