I agree that smoking should be made illegal if a Gov has any duty to protect public health; but in the same way there is a monetary incentive to sustain smoking, there is a monetary incentive to sustain the Covid scare through perpetual vaccination, increased use of tech through remote working and moving shopping online.
The money may not go like taxes to Gov but it goes to giant corporations more powerful now than Govs; who, ironically, basically don't pay tax. There is an incentive to mainstream media as the Gov is now the main funder of advertisements to the papers (or was a few months ago I haven't checked recently) and Bill Gates is a major funder of the BBC (£60 million for "covid education").
I don't believe that there has been a conspiracy but understand when faced with this stench why so many do. Rather I think these players have taken full advantage of the media & Gov overreaction; and because they are so powerful they distort and colour the reality we now have to live with.
You don't actually need a conspiracy when the power lies so unaccoubtably with so few: the manipulation and control just arises organically.
Supermarkets are gaining whilst small businesses are closing for good. |
