JK2006 Excuse me BB what are you talking about? I obey both the guidelines and the law. Full permission gained for everything.

And for urgent, emergency health reasons I need to swim for 5 hours a day in hot sunshine and in fresh chlorinated water, not salt water. None of which is available in the UK except for about 3 days a year.

You thought the guidelines and the law didn't apply to you and you paid the price for your miscalculation. the only thing I'm surprised about is that you seem to have no shame in publicizing your exploits
Jo Sorry to hear about that ordeal, JK. Terrible. Hope you're safe home now.

Staycations are the obvious alternative, but places like Devon/Cornwall, Lake District and East Anglia are small - and can't cope with the influx of visitors and extra traffic, even during a normal summer.

It will calm down once Europe and other areas sort their vaccine roll outs. You are right we have done exceptionally well
with our roll out and we need other countries to catch up . It will take another year or so then we will all - like pets with rabies - just require vaccine updates and passes. Unnecesary of course but fine by me. It's just one other tiresome aspect of the world over reaction to Covid...
