Green Man It’s funny when I hear conversations it’s like people talking under water in cartoons. The Hidden Disability lanyards are great but there still morons who yell out ‘Where’s your mask ?’ I was breathing when Tubs was kneeling on my neck but but the masks actually affects my breathing.
Honey I am quite tormented by the wretched mask, but I do enjoy being able to mouth obscenities at shopkeepers.
JK2006 Yes I think masks have a tiny effect on stopping one catching flu or cold and also probably removes 1% of the effects of pollution. So they made sense to me but before Covid I didn't feel it was worth buying one or using one. When Covid struck in January 2020 I decided to invest, bought a reusable, expensive one (well, expensive then, £17) and have had it around my neck (and when indoors at shops etc) ever since. In the UK, France, Italy.
Honey I love not having caught a cold since the pandemic, so I might continue to snarl at people who get too close.
JK2006 I have to admit I've thought masks were a very good idea for years - pollution has got bad; many Asians I see in London (especially on public transport) wear masks. Just as, when on the Tube, I never touch any surface with bare skin. Germs abound. I wear mine as rarely as possible but carry it around my neck when out.
