Primarily a stage actor - of the old Shaftesbury Avenue style - his interpretation of the Bard was ground breaking.
JK2006 for the hundredth time I'm sure Paul Scofield's performance is the Best Acting display ever. Likewise his King Lear was the best stage performance I ever saw. He was the Boss of acting.
