Wyot They are seen to be doing something is the only point I can see Honey - that and fattening their wallets down the line when the mates they gave the contracts to return the expected favour.
Green Man Not forgetting a social credit score system like they have in China, will be on the horizon.

Honey I see that the cowboy firm that ruined "Test and trace" have been given the contract again.

But why is it needed?

If we have all been vaccinated (soon) then what is the problem?

If social distancing rules are abandoned as promised, then we are all going to be "contacts" all day long wherever we go, and pinged non stop.

It is unrealistic to expect everybody to isolate every time they leave the house, so the only reason they would bother with Test and trace, and the only way it might work, is if it ONLY applies to the unvaccinated.

So - The vaccine passport after all.
