Wyot Well let's hope your fears are unfounded; but I can understand why you would be concerned. The sole focus on one health issue (Covid) for 18 months will inevitably detract from other types of potential harm. But no one has been allowed to say this mainstream - because Covid is primarily a political not health matter.
JK2006 is that, by ignoring Flu, the vaccine I shall have for it in September may not protect me from catching flu this winter. Society, doctors, experts, politicians have been so dictated by media panic over Covid, deadly flu may sneak back in (as it did in 2017/2018 - wrong vaccine; 50,000 deaths in 3 months, England & Wales alone). I survived the flu that winter (5 days in bed in Marrakech). I'm now three years older and may not survive it in winter 2021-2.
