I am not a slap head (so **** you) ! Maybe the women I know like the rugged look and "manly" men not my words. I have worked in very rough pubs and seen some nasty fights over the years over very silly things. I dare you to question a bald bloke in a pub Robbie and say what you wrote to them on here ! You might lose some teeth but at least you put up a good fight.
I didn't say that you were a slap head, just that most people wouldn't want to go bald and become the common colloquial term for a bald person (slap head). Some care deeply, some couldn't care less. Going bald in your early 20s like me, can be quite devastating. Most people don't want to look much different from their contemporaries and sometimes look much older than they are. As for been more "manly", the idea that been bald makes you more virile is a myth. It is a caused by the over production of De-hyro testosterone on the scalp and is usually hereditary. The idea of wigs, and hair pieces is unnecessary, at least for those in the early stages of baldness. I would recommend propecia and FUE procedure like Rooney, if this is a concern for you. Many celebrities have had this procedure such as Jimmy Carr, Rob Bryden, James Nesbitt, Gordon Ramsey, Daman Albarn, and many others.
If its done badly it looks horrendous. Andrew Neil and John Cleese are good examples. Rooney looks like he is balding again.
You would be amazed at how many people have good hairpieces. We only notice the bad ones, you see. |

Bald hair might be more attractive in the future, because we are programmed to like whatever is around us, and cropped hair has been in fashion for so long now that maybe it looks normal to young women?
Because of my age and bohemian tendencies I only like either long hair or spiky short cuts, although I did go out with a shaven haired dungaree wearing flute player for a bit. He was a bit like "Right said Fred" long before he said it.  |

Bruce Willis was balding in Moonlighting no baldness career dip; Patrick Stewart, Andre Agassi (looked much handsomer after ditching the silly "Def Leppard" wig)...No amount of hair can give or deny a man charisma & sexy confidence; but baldness doesn't prevent it either.
The hair question is not the right question. Confidence is. Some men's confidence is destroyed by baldness; but not, in my experience, the ones that were good looking - or otherwise through personality - had reason to be confident in the first place.
As for women; don't get me started on a shaven-headed Demi Moore or ass kicking Sigourney Weaver in alien; confident, sassy, sexy...I would...
