I avoid crowds now but I always have. Hated going to concerts unless i was in a separated section.. a mosh pit? my idea of Hell.
Hate crowded pubs but always have. Spent my early life in nightclubs but never really liked it..wild horses couldn't drag me to one now.
I studiously avoid people on the footpath even though we are supposed to be in Lock Down the general public act like there is no problem.
I love avoiding people. They're dangerous in so many ways
Journalists are dangerous also.

Why would anyone think you should isolate? Have I missed something?
I have carried on as normal as much as possible, doing everything I can to prevent infection as I go.
Everyone is perfectly entitled to make their own medical decisions, but I am frustrated by some friends who have refused the vaccine and are living in terror and isolation as a consequence.

Why would anyone drive on a motorway? You could die. Why walk down the street? The driver of a passing car may suffer a heart-attack and plough into you. Why have sex with a person you have fallen in love with? What if they have an infection they are unaware of? Why live? It will cause you to die. We are going further than being risk averse after the panic of the past 2 years: many have become life averse.

An answer I posted elsewhere when someone asked me why I behave as I do and don't just totally self isolate...
If you totally avoid people, you're less likely to catch anything. But is that necessary? If you've had the vaccines it should not be serious unless, like flu and colds, you're one of the unlucky ones. Millions have died from catching a cold - sometimes leading to pneumonia or other more serious respiratory diseases. But you have to draw the line somewhere. I've never smoked because I think that increases the chance of cancer. My choice. Likewise never did recreational drugs. Worried about long term consequences. Ditto alcohol. Likewise casual sex (avoided AIDS). I never anticipated the False Allegations Industry. That got me. I never anticipated professional jealousy (like when I was offered EMI global Chairmanship). That got me. But if I was lactic intolerant I'd avoid dairy (I'm not). Or allergic to nuts (I'm not). It's all an individual choice we must all make. My worry is when misinformation is spread (media; great story; gullibles believe; panic) and people act according to that.
