I love this article.

I am sure Wyot has a mass collection of NWOBHM at home. |

Micki - I am constantly grateful for the many in humanity but especially in our music industry who are and were decent, kind, honest and loving people. One of the great things about the Internet is that it can be an archive of such matters (this thread from over a year ago has had almost 10,000 views, as illustrated by yours, and I hope can bring happy memories and affection through the years). |

Hi Jonathan, I'm Pete's wife Michele Franklin.
I've just come across your comments here and am touched by your thoughts of Pete, he truly was a decent, honorable man..... He passed away on 2nd October 2021 of Pancreatic Cancer only 3 weeks after being diagnosed... The shock of it all was truly immense to us both, it still is for me! It is so wonderful to have many CD's of his music and video recordings of gigs and interviews also on YouTube and I am so grateful that I get to see and hear him every day. I hope you are keeping well and good, Pete always spoke of you with kindness. |

I hear sad news - not confirmed - that Pete Franklin has died. I produced Chariot briefly. In 2018 he gave a formal statement to Surrey Police, very supportive of me and dismissive of some of the false claims made by an accuser. Clearly a decent, honourable man. Surrey Police, of course, did not use his evidence but had to disclose it to me.
So more police corruption then.
I have to ask former poster Andrew about Chariot at some point. He used to play a band called Briar a lot. |
