I haven't seen the news but today in Liverpool city centre there were various tin rattlers wearing Maddie T-shirts pestering passers by for donations. I had to go in the opposite direction to avoid facing these people or else I would had demanded to know one of two things...

1 - how much did it cost to make these T-shirts and who paid for them?
2 - what are the donations for? Where will that money go?

Uberman I see the Daily Express banned a number of people from its forums for making the suggestion

Such suggestions were not made with hate but as an interpretation of available facts.

Daily Express, sordid as it is, made its own sensationalist capital out of it.

Uberman This story has never really rung true but the media-led lynch mob has created a certain image of a monster and happily led the mob off with torches burning and nooses a knotting.

Evidently a bit of a surf last night shows that the Portuguese media (let alone other European media) have long been reporting the story differently including criticism of the British media with its obsession in implicating Murat.

Evidently the Daily Express forums which I happened to surf around before taking a long shower have a few people who seemed to have a well developed 'close to home' scenario and for which the 'blood stains' have sealed the deal. The Sun forums (even longer shower) don't have a clue on a picture bigger than the one written in crayon and pictures for them.

The Metro (London free paper) evidently had their 'scoop' that it was a botched abduction but the only thing missing was their intelligence. Attempted abduction, accidentally kill kid, clean up the mess and leave with kid - don't think so.

Since it's all speculation i'll put a gentleman's wager that the blood isn't hers. There's no info on any specific location on the wall or pattern to it but blood residue detectable by the dogs could have been there up to 7 years apparently so could have been there a long time and would explain its cleaning.

If it is hers then the body would have to have been dead for around 2 hours before post mortem related changes in the body become detectable by the other dog which would be kinda interesting don't ya think.

Unless of course it was the Swiss man who has just killed himself after being implicated in the abduction of a 5 year old who looks 'uncannily' (read vaguely) like the mccann child.

Other interesting conspiracy type stuff on how some of the people who have made international sightings of the child have far less than 6 degrees of separation from Team McCann or are serial attention seekers in high profile cases.

The physical evidence just really doesn't seem to fill in the blanks - so it will be loose lips that will crack this case, if it ever happens.
