In The Know He's not actually released yet, JK.

The authorities have 90 days in which to decide whether to release him or order a re-trial.
JK2006 That's Kenny Richey who I started this thread with ITK!
In The Know Thanks, Anthony - that's the one.

Another UK man has had his conviction overturned (after spending 20 years in prison) -

Krishna Maharaj. This would appear to be the case to which you were referring, ITK.
In The Know Anyone else see Newsnight, last night?

They had a feature on a British Asian guy who has been on Death Row in Florida for 21 years now - despite the fact there are SIX witnesses who all say he was 30 miles away at the time of the crimes (none were heard at the original trial).

During the original trial the Judge was actually arrested - on corruption charges ! The trial then proceeded with another Judge.

He is having his final appeal for clemancy this week and 3 UK Cabinet Ministers have lodged letter of support for him.

Can anyone remember his name so I can seek further info?
