The time limit for a defamation suit in the USA is one year although in some cases in can be 3 but even then, no Biden can't be sued now or latter for obvious time constraints..in this particular case.
This tactic was most effectively used against Jeremy Corbyn , one of the worst politically motivated campaigns of propaganda in recent years that stepped up between 2017 and 2019.
It's how the media works. Always has but it's no longer subtle. And it works.
## currently being used to great affect in Australia with Rupert Murdoch's empire:
The States NSW, Victoria and Queensland have the exact some policies, lockdowns etc for tackling the Covid pandemic.
Murdoch's newspapers dominate in each state. His NSW daily tabloid heaps praise upon the right wing NSW premier for his actions while excoriating the left -wing QLD and Victorian premiers.
Western Australian is ignored by the Murdoch media..where a recent election basically wiped out the Conservative party reducing them to a handful of seats..an even fiercer Lockdown is ignored as a Murdoch doesn't have a dominating tabloid there.
Nick Sandman became a millionaire by suing the media and news outlets. I wonder how much richer Kyle will be when he sues nearly all the outlets not forgetting the ones, who settle out off court like. Guardian....cough-cough.

but he may become rich with all manner of offers
he made need it if the families of the dead and the wounded sue him as the Goldman family sued O.J.Simpson and were awarded $33M in damages.
He may even face an FBI prosecution for denying the two dead their civil rights..by killing them.
It's how they convicted the killers of the Mississippi Civil Right's workers in the 1960s even though their killers had been already prosecuted in a State court but received very light sentences.
Depends on the evidence. Different times.
There are differences though. O.J was found Not Guilty like Rittenhouse but Rittenhouse did actually kill 2 people which is not in dispute.
The evidence bar in a civil case is far lower than in a criminal case.
Then again- despite the Goldmans winning 20 years ago- they've never received a penny from O.J.. That's because O.J under advice from his Kardashian lawyer tied up whatever funds he had in a Superannuation package in his children's names which cannot be touched.
Rittenhouse could do something similar with finances.
The families are already suing the Kenosha police for various reasons that are pretty sound. No doubt there will be a settlement.
I suspect what will happen will be Rittenhouse will enjoy a certain amount of celebrity for a time and then drop off the radar a bit like Zimmerman did after the Trayvon Martin killing..unless he is actually very clever and has some unseen yet talent to offer.
Of course a sort of precedent has now been established..killing in self defense by shooting unarmed people (did one have a pistol?).
I expect those who "rioted" on that infamous night (over the killing of a black man shot several times in the back by police) will similarly arm themselves.. and lo & behold they are appearing as we speak on the streets of Kenosha armed to the teeth.
I think this will spread. I doubt there will be any future BLM or Antifa protestors without heavily armed protestors among them..
Celebrating this bizarre incident and trial is most odd but is in line with the new gripe of the far right in America..who seem to be suffering from a bizarre victim hood.
..that they are America's true patriots fighting some imaginary force that..well I'm not sure what their problem is apart from the 2020 loss of the Comb Over Crybabyor perhaps their belief the white race is being replaced.
They seem to believe those they oppose are incapable of doing exactly what they do..arm themselves to the teeth.
Only in America would the shooting deaths of two people and the wounding of another..become a cause for celebration.
None of this will end well. Strange forces have been unleashed.

little provokes me  ..the media have largely acted responsibly to date as this has been such a world-wide deadly pandemic that involves them as well.
Journalists, media barons and all in between are as susceptible to Covid as everyone else.
Although of course the Murdochs play games whilst..Fox News boss Lachlan & family sit it out in his vast Sydney mansion with live in staff and a tutor while running Fox from his high tech "bunker" yet allowing some Fox pundits to promote AQnon anti-vax stuff even though Fox requires all staff to be double-vaxed.

Even the UK's right wing media (which is most of it) have been in lock step.
But we are now seeing the real power of Social Media where alternative "facts" take hold and as one pundit accurately pointed out..a million people find "truths" & "facts" on social media that apparently 10,000s of the world's scientists and medical researchers missed.
I suspect the next stage of the media is to find someone to blame for Covid..probably doctors, (Fauci ?), Biden, nurses . MPs, PMs..for that is their wont.
The media sets them up and knocks them down. They are in a win win position. They can destroy a person and when that person is found innocent wring it's hands at the unfairness of it all.
It can create celebrities out of an ordinary person & then strike at that person when they are vulnerable.
But they now compete with "Social Media" that can make any claim without a scintilla of proof.
Just a small but significant example..the 1000s who turned up recently in Dealy Plaza expecting JFK & JFK Jr to emerge from hiding (and bizarrely as dead Democrats endorse Donald Trump) with a significant disappointed number then moving onto a Rolling Stones concert now convinced Keith Richards is in fact..JFK !.
Meanwhile millions of Americans believe an election was stolen from them and Joe Biden (unlike Barack Obama who was merely a "socialist") is a fully fledged Communist despite Capitalist Wall Street relishing the $Billions coming their way via road building, bridge mending, social housing repairs & the Walton family (America's richest and owners of the ginormous WalMart) popping champagne at the thought of those *Billions that will be spent with them via increased child benefits & welfare cheques. (all of which is Business As Usual in the USA with many of these "policies" introduced by previous Republican administrations.
Established media and now Social Media have convinced the poorest Americans..the Southern States which for 100 years were solid Democrat bases..that a rich, many times bankrupt Donald Trump who gets his merchandise manufactured in China and uses Chinese steel in his buildings, built by undocumented labour (unions won't touch him) has their best interests in mind.
The established media also profits from this stuff but is really in a holding pattern, unsure how to handle it.
I suspect the next movement on Social Media will be to turn their guns on the established media. They've avoided blame to date but why are they exempt?.
They too soon will incur the wrath of the QAnon cult (who else can it blame?)and one sentence from Rupert Murdoch (never underestimate his influence) in a speech a few days ago indicates this..telling Donald Trump to "move on" and stop dwelling on the past.
