Loved the country and the people..wonderful.
But they only had one 5 star hotel then and all the ex-pats ( so many as Oman was basically a British military base) got very excited at shows like Harry Seecombe.
Then the TV..one channel and every god=damned nigh. I love Lucy for 2 hours . And that was it.
Fortunately the country has opened up..fascinating place as is the capital city Muscat.
When new channels are launching and are need of a test signal I Love Lucy or Lucy Show are shown.

Wasn't Lucille Ball a very private person and secretive?
I have ton of reruns of Lucy Show and I Love Lucy but not a documentary about her.
Some of her stuff was amusing other stuff was just embarrassing to watch.

The Ricardos is terminably boring. Why on earth Nicole was put up for an Oscar is a mystery.
Terrible casting..the actor playing Desi Arnaz is a good actor but quite ugly compared to Arnaz who was good looking and Lucy was very pretty but Nicole's botox treatments are barely hidden. This is like reverse casting when they usually choose better looking actors than the originals.
Nicole playing Lucy in her TV appearances is tragic.
I lurveLady Ga Ga so much. Don't know why. She's perfect looking as the Gucci killer , not the greatest actor but gets by. But I loved her.
Who could not like Al Pacino, always a joy and the bloke playing the Gucci who is murdered was OK.
Really just 2 average Made For TV movies like from the old days.
