Jo I heard an apparently excellent UN interpreter the other week. Can't remember who she was interpreting, possibly Lavrov. She sounded English. Sometimes I wonder if the interpreter you hear doesn't work for the organisation concerned but for the media outlet, as I've noticed that if the BBC News channel and CNN International are broadcasting a speech given by someone in a foreign language in real time, the interpreters can be different. A lot of the time they don't sound as if they're English native speakers.
Titanicboy They’re ALL terrible! NATO; EU… the lot of them! No wonder there are international wars!
JK2006 The man translating Paddington Bear's speech to the EU gathering should be fired. I think I'd understand more just listening to him speaking in Ukrainian.
