I broadly agree with this. I don't know what is being achieved by "supporting" the Ukranian resistance from afar. Let them surrender with our support if this is what they wish to do, rather than see loved ones killed and their country destroyed.

There is something about all this use of Ukraine flags and "we stand with them" that reeks of "clap for the NHS" or "me too". Smug, self satisfaction. Engagement with our new "signalling" world rather than reality.

It removes the oxygen of thought. It gets people killed.
