Martin Hutchinson I agree mainly. Seen 4 episodes and there are elements of both Ipcress and Funeral in Berlin books and films.
This series has been excellent, but the Caine films are better.
JK2006 I've enjoyed this and have now also watched the finale (on TV next Sunday) - I thought Joe Cole was very good and Tom Hollander is rapidly becoming a National Treasure. But this ITV series has virtually nothing to do with the book or the Michael Caine movie. In fact, after watching the ITV 6 shows I watched the original film (thank God for Amazon rentals). Which is far, far better. Enjoy both but do see the movie if you haven't. 1965! I was 20.
