emmapeelfanclub Good old Arthur Brown! Indeed he got burned occasionally back in his heyday. Its interesting how he vanished in the mid 70s for around 20 years. He moved to Texas and about ten years ago returned to Europe where ever since, he has been making regular live performances. He often guests with Hawkwind and The Pretty Things onstage!

Though we do have him on TOTP in 1968 performing "Fire" with the flaming helmet, my Mum has said that was not the best performance and swears blind that one week Brown actually jumped through a flaming hoop live on air! A unique and eccentric talent.
Mart Not for the first time I seem to recall.

I did notice tha recently he has a very defined "long bald hair" style, much like the top of a grassy hill top that has caught too much sun.
zooloo Quelle surprise!

"Legendary musician Arthur Brown has been burned during a fire stunt at a gig in Lewes, East Sussex.

...burning lighter fluid spilled down his back setting fire to his clothes, those of another performer and the artwork backdrop for the show."
