JK2006 Perhaps it's because I've been around for 77 years but these results are no surprise - the ruling party always loses in mid term and stupid media always makes a big deal out of it. What is frightening though is how obedient to superficial media hype we have all become. Like Brexit, Covid, Ukraine etc - simplification, tabloid headlines, politics by slogan... democracy no longer works, people buy into media images and three word hooks or photo images. Which allows bad or incompetent ministers, police, judges, civil servants to get away with it. The decline of our species continues.
