What's really disgraceful is how Cummings, a bitter ex-spad, has been indulged in his nasty acts of rank hypocrisy by a media that is happy to let it pass because it serves their purpose. There will come a Cummings for other parties and other governments, and they won't have a coherent means to complain. It's a scandal that even now he has such an impact.

Yes but they thought it and said it and the majority agreed. We can't just rely on their ignorance (of laws) or organisational incompetence to avoid this; or gas Chambers. At some point a gifted or even genius politician may come along, as happened in the 1930s in Germany.... Maybe they were testing the waters?
