Certainly not those that convicted the Birmingham 6 and the Guildford 4 - but, probably those held at Nuremberg in the aftermath of WWII.
Like democracy, the jury based legal system is flawed and imperfect - so many innocent people are in prison. But what's an alternative/fairer system?
People with impeccable characters though - in middle age, respected, with no records
- have a head start under our current system (like Giggs) towards freedom.

If a jury debates for hours and still can't reach majority verdicts on any counts, surely this means guilt can't be established "beyond reasonable doubt".
Gigg's should be discharged and allowed to get on with his life...
