I was lucky enough to meet many of those though never The Queen. But she struck me as head and shoulders above all of them.

Yes very sad news that someone who has being a constant throughout my life has passed away. As far as the superstar of the last 100 years I would say Churchill, Atlee, The Beatles, Bowie, George Best, Bobby Moore, David Attenborough. People that actually did things and changed the world. the Queen was a figurehead. I'm sure that Charles will do a greatjob as King. He gets much criticism for talking out against things like Rwanda and the climate. However I think that someone should talk out against the useless governments that we have had recently. The Eieffel Tower has gone into darkness as a mark of respect for the Queen. Can you imagine the uk making a similar gesture for a french figure head. This however should not mean that the country should come to a standstill, with tv and radio schedules cancelled, theatre and cinema schedules cancelled. I imagine that anyone under 30 couldn't care less about the queen as they bury themselves in Tik Tok, Netflix, PS2 or other such news irrelevant platforms.

for our wonderful Queen, the true superstar of the past 100 years.
