JK2006 Partly because it illustrates how an entire family can be destroyed by the False Allegations Industry - partly because it shows how a good, decent, honest lawyer CAN make a difference but mainly because it stops people doing the superficial thing and blaming the "victim" when he or she is proved to be a liar.

It's not even the police or CPS who were to blame. Often it's not corruption but incompetence.

The police believed the liar and only searched for evidence to back up their case. As happened in my case and in so many others.

Sometimes (as also in my case) a bent cop deliberately fails to disclose vital evidence of innocence but those are rare; generally it is incompetence, laziness.
