I really didn't get this film at all, and neither did my friend who I went with. It had a stupid very thin plot about someone cutting off his fingers because his former friend won't leave him alone and speaks to him. There was nice scenery and good performances, but not much else. I loved Billboards, couldn't get into "In Bruges" and didn't like 7 psychopaths. I even enjoyed Halloween Ends more, and that got terrible reviews.
I love the Halloween franchise, even Halloween 3 is a ritual every Halloween. I like the idea of an evil toymaker.
I didn't like Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise was ruined by too many reboots and sequels.
I haven't been to the cinema in years and I don't get any channels on my TV. So, I am lost with films now. |

I went to the first screening on Saturday afternoon; normally there are no more than 12 people in the cinema; this time there were at least 100. The word is spreading. |

Loved, loved, loved "Billboards" so really must catch up on In Bruges, and looking forward to the new one. |

Quite apart from everything else anybody interested in the subtle ingredients and aspects of cinema, the cinematography is absolutely fabulous. |
