JK2006 A fantastic rave 5 star review in Sunday Times Culture today - and a dismissive 2 star one in the Mail On Sunday.
Definitely a marmite film.
JK2006 Interesting film which won the Palme D'Or prize at Cannes but had dreadful reviews in several papers including The Times and The Guardian. I liked it. It won me over when there was a five minute section of someone trying to turn off the lights in a hotel. I thought it was only me! Very funny in parts; makes several important points; entertains. Takes vomit to new heights (and Kudos to actors who managed it). I think the bad reviewers failed to understand it. They said parts were like The Admirable Creighton. I thought they owed more to Lord of the Flies with humour. A highly original, very well made and thoroughly entertaining movie.
