Where dod this thimg come from of calling Tory politicians by their first name come from??? Boris,Liz, Rishi.... it's weird, stop it!!
No one does it for members of any other party, just strange and a but disturbing.
Nobody uses surnames anywhere. Nurses often refuse to call you Mrs So and So even when you request it. It is quite irritating.
This is different tho, it's referring to politicians in the third person such as here, not talking to them directly.
Again it specifically happens when referring to Tory politicians. No one would ever start a conversation saying 'Kier made a speech about' or 'Angela said' yet everyone refers to the PM as Rishi.....
Keir Starmer is usually called "Keef" in my circles but you are right, it must be a measure of disrespect.
We will respect politicians when they respect us.
which will be never. |

Some of the posts we attribute to "Barney" may be other trolls as our rather elderly Spam and Troll filter seems to be getting outdated!
We know our Barney. We might occasionally be taken in, or sometimes give the benefit of the doubt, but it is usually obvious when it is him.
I do wish he would stop. |

Sadly I agree Honey (real Wyot). I think genuine & regular posters probably need official registration on the site. |
