But it shouldn't cost poor immigrants a fortune. That money should come to our treasury, to help pay for housing, healthcare, training etc.
And this would stop the dangers, the drowning, the tragedies.
Don't prevent it; encourage it. Benefit from it.

Don't pay millions to the French to help keep immigrants out of the UK.
Use the money for the welfare of those coming in. Those who can't afford the equivalent of smuggler profit fees.
