I asked a friend today about Simmons.

Jim-Boy who is a film and celebrity nerd he said he saw Richard Simmons a few times at airports over the years. Jim-boy told me even if Richard was busy or just wanted to get on, he will talk to you and never talk through you or sell you a product. (Richard Simmons was known for infomercials)

Jim-Boy said you might not get an autograph, but he has amazing memory he remembered Jim-Boy all the time they bumped into each other.

I actually feel a bit sad reading about this. Richard Simmons was on pretty much every day on TV and regular on Howard Stern before it turned in to shit.

Richard Simmons video tapes were perfect gifts to people for gags or people you didn't like I have both received and sent them as naff gifts.

I remember my dad staying over in NYC for a few weeks. He was fascinated by US TV, when he saw Richard Simmons on the Richard Simmons Show my dad couldn't stop laughing he thought it was US sketch show like Saturday Night Live.

A friend of mine explained to my dad that it's a genuine work out and well-being programme. My dad laughed even more. Richard Simmons was the butt of the jokes on Whose Line It is Anyway? he took it all in his stride and played along.

My biggest praise I can to Richard Simmons he is a self-made man he created a gimmick and it worked and Sweatin' To The Oldies can make you lose weight just giggling through it. Deal A Meal was something worked for some people.

If Richard has transitioned to a woman that's not our business.
