The UK is just piss and wind in the winter and some ice. When it does it snow its not even good.

I miss USA in the Winter time. I can't get why most houses opted to central heating rather than open fires.

My partner lives in a housing association house. It has a nice chimney on the roof and bricked up chimney breast. What is the point in that?

I have a 'rustic' house and a very nice chimney. I love the warmth of an open fire and radiators are hot beds for germs, no wonder people get horrible colds in the Winter.
