From January 2011 Andrew Norfolk of The Times reported that the underage girls 'grooming' (then new buzzword) scandal in Rotherham and elsewhere in the UK was widespread. And that police and councils had known for over ten years, but had largely ignored it as proven pro-active young girls making "lifestyle choices".
Much like proven pro-active young fans making 'lifestyle choices' before and since the Swingin' 60s. Quote, dry Lennon when asked what he thought of all the young girls chasing 'grooming' the Beatles, "I think it's terrible."

The establishment don't like people exposing them and telling the truth. The government went silent over silent over Assange, over so-called rape claims then it changed to espionage charges.
Tommy Robinson, was also jailed for hate crimes but he exposed the grooming the gangs that the media ignored. However it's coming in to light that the Asian grooming gangs was and still a thing.
