I met a Elton John mega fan last week. She said she's bored with Elton John's concerts. Almost the same set of songs and voice now grates her ears.
hedda
watch TV.
I was offered a ticket to Elton and refused as I've seen him twice and got very bored after half an hour and having heard the songs a million times doesn't help.
I envy people who are such great fans they'll put up with the rigors of a concert these days.
Yet I once worked as a gofer for the great Aussie Peter Allen and watched his show 60 times at Country Cousins (Fulham) and Madsions in Camden Lock and was never bored once.
I don't have trouble getting tickets however it's the high prices and booking fees that put me off. I was charged an extra £2 on top of booking fee to have the ticket emailed to me.
I have to use my own ink and paper last month.
I was going to see Mike and The Mechanics with my partner but if I needed an over night stay incase we had few pints or whiskeys and a meal.
It would be over £350 for tickets, hotel and including fuel. Even basic hotels are charging £100 plus these days for one sodding night with fees.
It would be cheaper to have a 3/4 night getaway holiday in my favourite country Latvia.
